Matthew Cutbbert and his sister Mrilla lived at Green Gables. They had decided to adopt a boy from an orphanage. But the orphanage sent them a girl, named Anne. She had red curly hair, a small and white face with freckles on it. She was thin, but she liked to imagine at any time. She got angry easily and cooled down fast. She had a friend, Diana. She had dark hair and was Anne's best friend. Anne had an "enemy" Gilbert. He thought Anne's hair like carrot. Although he felt sorry for her, Anne could not forgive him. After a long time, Anne forgave him.
Although Anne was beset with difficulties and she made so many mistakes, she was kindhearted, forthright and study hard. So everyone loved her.
